Police are ‘increasingly worried’ about a 13-year-old boy who may have run away to Sydenham after disappearing last week.

Tyrone Powell was last seen in Caterham last Friday (February 2) and authorities are concerned due to his age and the length of time he has been gone.

Surrey Police are now re-appealing in an urgent attempt to find him safe and well.

Detective Inspector Tristian Hardiman said: “I am growing increasingly worried about Tyrone as he has not been heard from or seen since last Friday.

“I urge anyone in the Sydenham area or the surrounding areas to get in contact if they have any information regarding Tyrone’s whereabouts.

“If you have family and friends in the surrounding areas including Bromley, Crystal Palace and Lewisham please share this appeal. You can to help us find Tyrone.

“Tyrone, if you don’t want to speak to us, but you do want us to know you’re safe, you can contact the missing peoples charity by texting or calling 116 000.”

Tyrone is described as mixed race, 5ft 5 inches tall, of medium build and has brown curly hair.

He was last seen wearing a black tracksuit, a small man bag and a black North Face jacket.
