Croydon’s biggest party for foodies and music lovers is set to be one of the highlights of the summer festival calendar.
The Croydon Food & Music Festival in association with Leon House returns to South End on Sunday June 25 with food and drink stalls, street performers, kids entertainment and three stages of live music.
Da Groove Station, DJ SK, The Aultones and Helen Hampton’s Pop Choir are among the acts set to play, while Croydon’s Scream Lounge will host artistes on their own stage.
Nick Higton of The Aultones kicks off the music on the Main Stage at midday. The singer-songwriter, whose singles ‘Beachcomber’ and ‘Here Comes The Tide’ were BBC Radio 1 Tracks of the Day last year, will perform tracks from his album ‘Fear Without Progression.’
“It’s a real privilege to open the main stage at The Croydon Food and Music Festival,” Mr Higton said.
“I used to live in Beddington as a fledgling songwriter so this really feels like coming full circle. I am thrilled to be part of such a strong and divergent local musical scene.
“See you at 12”
Entry to the festival is free.
Street performers will entertain festival goers along the whole of South End, which will be pedestrianised and closed to traffic between Coombe Road and Aberdeen Road.
