A record number of young people competed in an annual triathlon last weekend.
On Sunday June 28, the Trinity School in Addiscombe, held its annual triathlon attracting a record number of 500 participants.
The competition, which is open to young people aged eight to 19, was initially set up in 2011 in the run up to the 2012 Olympic Games.
Event director, Rob Brookman, said: "I am delighted to have welcomed so many athletes for another successful Trinity Triathlon. The marshalling was outstanding throughout the morning and I want to say a huge thank you to the 100 or more volunteers involved in making the event one of the biggest children’s triathlons in country."
The victors in the 12 categories:
Juniors: Jake Callis (male, 34 minutes 5.30 seconds), Isobel Chant (female, 41:00.90).
Youth: Reef Boericke (male, 31:54.60), Rachel Padwick (youth, 34:33.50).
Tristar 3: Noah Canby (male, 26:42.00), Isabel Atkins (female, 28:57.30).
Tristar 2: Madeline Cooper (female, 24:05.50), Felix Barrow (male, 24:08.50).
Tristar 1: Christo Chilton (male, 16:00.40), Cerys Howells (female, 16:50.00).
Tristar Start: William Blount (male, 7:52.10), Lauren Mitchell (female, 8:16.80).
