Circus performers took to the streets to delight shoppers with an impromptu performance on Friday to coincide with their show at The Rose Theatre.

The Cirque du Ciel troupe are performing in ShangHi at the Rose where audiences can see a range of modern and traditional acrobatics as performed as part of a story tale dream seen through the eyes of a little girl.

A spokesman for the Rose said: “Having Cirque Du Ciel gave us a fantastic opportunity to liven up everyone’s lunch time with some incredible Chinese circus and martial arts. The crowd loved it and the performers had a great time”
