Four-hundred members of a riding charity turned out looking their best for a weekend of competitions.
The Horse Rangers Association (HRA), in Hampton Court, held its annual gymkhana event in the Stockyard, in Bushy Park.
The charity supports children, including those with special needs, by teaching them to ride and look after horses.
The members, some of whom camped overnight in the fields, entered the show rings to take part in a variety of competitions, including an egg and spoon race and inter-squad jumping.
Richmond mayor Councillor Rita Palmer judged the fancy dress entrants and gave the Smurfs first prize.
She told the crowds she had chosen HRA as her charity because of the work it does to encourage children with special needs.
She said: “The staff and volunteers at HRA enable these young people to reach their potential and all the money raised at the gymkhana goes towards supporting these unique activities.”
