A whopping £180,000 will be spent on revamping Broad Street, Teddington.
Transport for London (TfL) will invest the money to improve the pavements and signs and install new seats.
The makeover comes following discussions between TfL and Teddington councillor Martin Elengorn.
Coun Elengorn said: “Teddington was the only one of the bigger town centres in the borough not being improved. While the High Street and Broad Street taken together are prospering, the latter is looking tired and in need of a spruce.”
He said TfL is due to start the work soon and hopes to resurface the road next year.
