Sutton Art Council’s (SAC) second Art as Therapy Exhibition will be held at the Europa Gallery, Sutton Central Library from Tuesday 4 September to Thursday 13 September.

SAC’s vice chair, Dick Bower, said: “Last year’s exhibition brought together a wide range of support groups who each use art to encourage well bring. The result was an incredible range of art and was greatly appreciated by those who viewed the work.

“The arts council wish to support this initiative and to encourage more people to showcase their work this year.”

Groups exhibiting include Bananas Art, which supports people with mental health concerns, Clusterws, for adults with a disability, HiFive Independence Homes, which provides care and support for those with epilepsy, HMP High Down, Orchard Hill College, which teaches those with learning difficulties and disabilities, Sutton Centre for Independent Living and Learning, Sutton Mencap, Sutton Council’s Support and Inclusion Team and Sutton Mental Heath Foundation.

The Mayor of Sutton, Sean Brennan, will attend a private view on Monday 3 September at 7pm.

The exhibition will be open during normal library hours.
