George Brown (12) won a silver medal at the British Gas open water age group championships last weekend. He swam 1500m around a lake at Rother Valley Country Park in a time of 21:01 mins. He then went on the swim 1500m in the pool at Ponds Forge,Sheffield having swum the qualifying time for the Nationals. He finished 10th which is a tremendous achievement considering he is one of the youngest competitors in his age group.
