A BBC has published a book exploring West Indian culture and cricket.
They Gave the Crowd Plenty Fun, by Colin Babb, of Tooting, was released last month.
A launch party took place in The Oval cricket club with Mr Babb signing copies of the book.
Mr Babb, BBC World Service website producer, who has lived in Balham and Tooting since the 1990's, explores the link between Caribbean cricket, migration and the challenges cricket has faced in Britain.
Readers are introduced to historical and sociological perspectives, with a focus placed on pivotal events.
Mr Babb, a BBC World Service journalist, was inspired to write the book after completing an MA degree in Caribbean Studies.
His family, who he regularly visits, are from Guyana, Guadeloupe and Barbados, .
He said: "It's an extension of my MA in Caribbean Studies and West Indian cricket, and a life long interest in cricket in the Caribbean community.
"It appeals to people who are interested in how a community develops and how people like cricket.
"It is about how a community developed since WWII and how the relationship with West Indian cricket is in decline."
He has also written about West India Cricket in IC3: The Penguin Book of New Black Writing in Britain and in The Bowling was Superfine: West Indian Writing and West Indian Cricket.
