A Hackbridge-based designer whose shoes have been worn by the royals has made 10 pairs of special jubilee shoes.

Aruna Seth, 30, from Purley, has created some very British shoes which are now available in Harrods to celebrate the Queens Jubilee on June 5.

Pippa Middleton wore a pair of Miss Seth’s heels at the reception of the royal wedding day and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have been spotted wearing Aruna Seth items.

Her shoes have also been worn on the red carpet by the likes of Kate Hudson, Sophia Bush and Goldie Hawn.

To buy a pair of the special Union Jack heels covered in 3,000 Swarovski crystals you will need a pound for every crystal.

However, a delicate pair with a Swarovski Union Jack bow will cost £1,500.

Miss Seth said it takes 10-12 weeks to make them and all the crystals are hand placed by artisans in Northern Italy.

She said: "I’ve been doing it for four years.

"Shoes are in my blood – my father makes shoes.

"By working in my father’s company every summer I could see how shoes were put together – even though my dad makes men’s shoes.

"I decided I wanted to make beautiful shoes that are actually comfortable."

Miss Seth who studied at the London College of Fashion wanted to start her own brand using her own knowledge. Her shoes have special padding running through them.

Last year Miss Seth made it to the last three brands along with Jimmy Choo and Gina to be the designer to create Kate Middleton’s wedding shoes.

She said her dream customers would be Kate Middleton or Rihanna.
