South London and Surrey are revelling in temperatures up to 25C today - and can expect more sunshine this week.

The Met Office is forecasting temperatures could reach 26C tomorrow, Wednesday, as the summer finally seems to be kicking in across the UK.

A forecaster said tonight would stay dry.

"Dry and sunny this evening, with clear spells continuing until the early hours," he said.

"Low cloud and mist are then expected to return to the Kent coast, with mist spreading further west towards dawn. Minimum Temperature 12C."

However, tomorrow would see some early low cloud and mist which would clear through the morning.

The forecaster added: "Early low cloud and mist clearing through the morning, giving another predominantly dry, very warm day."
