Two people in Croydon have been arrested on suspicion of funding terrorism.
A 45-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man were among seven people arrested at about 6am, on suspicion of committing terrorist financing offences.
The group were arrested at four separate addresses in London, Cardiff and Coventry and have been taken to a central London police station where they remain in custody.
The operation was led by the Met's Counter Terrorism Command, with assistance from the Counter Terrorism network, the UK Border Agency and local forces.
