Former squatter’s paradise Raven’s Ait will be the venue for this year’s annual Kingston mayoral charity ball.
Security company Broadland Guarding Services is one of the organisations supporting the event on May 27.
Private security had to step in during spring 2009 when squatters invaded the island to stop them returning.
The island has since been relaunched by former Olympic sailing medallist Ossie Stewart as a weddings and corporate events venue.
Tickets are £60 per person and include a reception drink, a three-course meal and dancing to a live DJ.
Kingston’s current mayor Patrick Codd has been fundraising for Born Too Soon and Macmillan Cancer Support this year.
