A man has been stabbed outside a hotel in Croydon.
The incident happened at about 10.30am today outside the Hampton by the Hilton hotel in Dingwall Road.
Guests at the hotel were having breakfast when they described a man chasing another into the foyer following a fight outside.
Witnesses said one man, who was bleeding from his face, tried to leap over the reception desk as he was pursued by another.
Police and London Ambulance Service attended and a man was taken to a south London hospital with a stab wound. He is said to be in a stable condition.
Two males and three females have been arrested.
Sniffer dogs have been searching the area outside the hotel, while the reception and a small area opposite the hotel have been cordoned off.
It is unknown if any of those involved in the incident were guests at the hotel.
One guest said she was checking out as she was too afraid to stay any more.
