A man and a woman had to be rescued from under a pile of rubble after a ceiling collapsed in their home.
Firefighters were called at 9.20am yesterday morning when the ceiling caved in at the flat in Upper Richmond Road, Putney.
The man and the woman were rescued by 10.30 am and taken to St George's Hospital.
A build-up of water above the ceiling is believed to have caused the collapse.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "We were called to make the place safe and to the treat the casualties, we were the first on the scene."
