Police have opened an investigation after a woman in her 70s died in a car crash.
The woman, who is yet to be named, was a passenger in one of the cars when the collision took place in Melfort Road at about 9.45am yesterday.
Police said next of kin had been informed but the woman, who was declared dead at the scene, had not been formally identified.
A post mortem examination is due to take place on Monday.
Two other people were taken to hospital.
One man remains in hospital is a stable condition, and one other male has been discharged.
The collision is being investigated by the Road Death Investigation Unit at Catford Traffic Garage.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
He has been bailed to return to a south London police station in May 2012 pending further enquires.
