If you’ve ever fancied yourself as a Kenny G, James Galway or Acker Bilk, a leading music shop in Croydon is offering you a free music lesson.
Jonathan Myall Music, in South End, Croydon, is giving free taster lessons on flute, clarinet and saxophone to the public on 31st March.
Visitors to the store can try their hand at playing and pick up advice on how to get started. They can even arrange regular lessons and instrument rental on the day.
The charity Music For All has organised the first National Learn to Play day which is being funded by the Musicians' Union, Arts Council England and Music Radar.
There are 15 million people in the UK that either want to play an instrument or used to play one. Learn To Play Day is designed to welcome people into music shops and to inspire them to get playing. People are often surprised to discover that they ARE musical and simply need a musical “experience” to get them inspired to start playing.
Spaces are limited and should be booked in advance by calling the shop on 020 8662 8400 or online at www.justflutes.com/playday Further details: * www.justflutes.com/playday * www.learntoplayday.com Contact: Adam Clifford, Marketing Co-ordinator Jonathan Myall Music 46 South End CR0 1DP 020 8662 8400 marketing@myallmusic.com Based on information supplied by Adam Clifford.
