Woman dies in Thornton Heath crash
An elderly woman has died following a two car crash in Thornton Heath.
Police and three ambulance crews were called to the junction of Melfort Road and Strathyre Avenue following the crash at 9.45am this morning.
A spokesman from London Ambulance Service said: "I am sorry to say despite extensive efforts by staff an elderly woman was pronounced dead at the scene."
A man believed to be in 50s suffered chest injuries and was taken to St George’s Hospital.
A man in his 80’s was taken as a priority to Kings College London with head and pelvic injuries.
