The jury in the trial of a man accused of strangling his wife after she told him she was having an affair has gone out to consider its verdict.
Gary Brockwell, 48, is accused of murdering his wife Gaynor, at their Forestdale home after the 46-year-old told him she was leaving him that night.
The Old Bailey heard the pair who were childhood sweethearts, had a turbulent on-off relationship and repeatedly split up before getting back together again.
Mr Brockwell, of Osward Court Wood Lane, denies murder but admits manslaughter on the grounds he lost control.
He maintains he did not intend to kill his wife.
