Detectives have renewed appeals following the stabbing of a 17-year-old in West Norwood.

Police were called at about 1.15pm on Friday to calls of a stabbing outside Norwood Bus Garage, in Ernest Avenue.

The victim as stabbed on the upper deck of a Route 432 bus which had stopped outside the garage. Some passengers had disembarked, leaving the victim and others on the top desk, where he was then assaulted.

There were other passengers present at the time, and the police are asking them to come forward if they have not yet done so.

The 17-year-old boy was taken to a south London hospital where his condition is stable.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the incident and taken to a south London police station. He was later bailed to return pending further inquiries.
