Supporters of the families of two men killed in a construction incident will be attending the inquest into their deaths today.
Michael Alexa, 23, and Jonathan Cloake, 37, both died when a crane collapsed at a Barratt Homes development in Battersea on September 26, 2006.
Mr Cloake was in the driving cab of the crane when it collapsed onto Mr Alexa who was cleaning his car in the street at the time.
Mr Alexa’s body was left under the wreckage for three days after the incident as the authorities struggled with removing the crane wreck.
The inquest can now go ahead after the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said they would not lay manslaughter charges following five years of investigations.
The Coroner, Dr Radcliffe will hear the Inquest over four consecutive days commencing Monday, March 5 at 9:30am at Westminster Coroner's Court, Westminster Council Annex, Third Floor, 64 Upper Montague Street, London W1H 1FP.
