Mayor of London Boris Johnson has predicted that the forthcoming Olympic road race through Surrey is going to be one of the great cycling road races.
Speaking during a recent visit to the county with London 2012 chairman Lord Sebastian Coe, avid cyclist Mr Johnson praised their efforts in the run up to the Olympics.
He said: āI think Surrey is doing a great job of preparing for the Olympics and Iām very pleased that some of the events will be going through Surrey.ā
The event is due to take place on July 28 and is set to pass through Elmbridge, as the track loops from the Mall in London out to Surrey and back into the Capital.
