Normally I celebrate on the 28th. I haven’t made any plans for my next birthday yet. In another four year’s I’ll be 12 years old."

His daughter, Lara Bekker said: "It is always especially exciting when Dad’s birthday does come around every four years and it was so great of The Haywain to throw my Dad an 11th Birthday party. This year my Dad was 11-years-old which means me and my brother Willem are now older than him."

Emma Price, spokeswoman for Brewers Fayre said; "When you can only celebrate your birthday every four years we felt hardworking Norman deserved a party, and the team at The Haywain were on hand to give him a celebratory party to remember."
