A Croydon girl has beaten off competition from thousands of other youngsters from across the UK to make it to the last 30 of a national beauty contest.
Ten-year-old Pebbles Walmsley, a pupil at Park Hill Junior School, is one of 15 girls to reach the final of the nationwide Junior Miss British Isles competition.
Pebbles will discover whether she will be crowned queen later this month.
Proud mum Lynn said: "I nearly had a heart attack when I found out. This is her first ever competition and I'm very proud that she has got this far.
"No matter what the outcome this is a great achievement for a 10-year-old and it is an honour to take part.
"People say to me that she's beautiful but I think that anyway because I'm her mum."
The final, where a total prize fund of £2,500 is up for grabs in the junior caregory, will take place at the Devonshire House Hotel in Liverpool.
