Staff at the Whitgift Foundation plunged 85ft for charity last week.
The team of four joined a host of fundraisers who abseiled from the top of Voyager House, Wellesley Road on February 24.
More than £1,600 was raised for Croydon Commitment who promote the work of the borough's charities and voluntary groups.
Martin Corney, Clerk to the Foundation, said: "I am absolutely delighted that we have exceeded our fundraising target that will go towards local charities in need of funding.
"The abseil was a truly fantastic experience."
