Residents have just two weeks to shape their future bus service as a consultation draws to a close.

Surrey County Council has been consulting on the third and final phase of its bus review, which covers Epsom and Ewell and Mole Valley, to ensure services run where they are needed and to save the tax payer millions by reducing underused services.

Ian Lake, Surrey County Council’s cabinet member for transport and environment, said: “Surrey’s bus services became a hotch-potch of different routes over the years, which resulted in some routes not being used to their full potential.

"This review is an opportunity to go back to the drawing board to make sure services are run where they are needed most.”

People who haven’t already given their views have until January 31.

If agreed, any changes in phase three of the bus review would start from September 2012.
