Two men have been arrested after a man died in a motorbike crash this morning.
An ambulance crew and firefighters were called at 6am to rescue the motorcylist from a crash with a van in Long Road, Clapham Common, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 6am to Long Road following a road traffic collision involving a motorcyclist.
"The patient was pronounced dead at the scene."
Long Road between Clapham Common and Rookery Road are closed, whilst traffic is tailing back along Clapham Road to Bedford Road and on Balham Hill.
There are also delays around Clapham Common.
The two men are currently in custody at a south London police station.
The crash is being investigated by the Road Death Investigation Unit.
