A man has died after a serious road traffic collision in Ewell last week.
The smash happened at about 4.40am on Tuesday, January 10, on Cheam Road when a green Honda Civic collided with railings opposite Ewell East Railway station.
Epsom fire fighters attended the scene and the driver, a man in his 40s and the sole occupant of the vehicle was cut free from the car and taken to St Georges Hospital in Tooting with serious injuries.
Tributes have been laid at the roadside for the man who has not yet been named.
It is the second accident at the same spot in the last month.
Five people, including four pensioners, were taken to hospital last month after three cars collided.
