Emergency repairs to the damaged roof at Epsom Racecourse, which was peeled back in severe winds, have been completed.
Three cranes were on site last week and contractors have now secured the roof and made the area affected waterproof to prevent any further damage.
A spokesperson for Epsom Racecourse said: "During last week three cranes came on site and the calm weather conditions allowed contractors to make the roof safe as well as waterproof the area that became exposed following the damage caused by the strong winds.
The Duchess’s Stand is now in full use.
Last week a number of surveyors inspected the roof and the damage.
We now have to wait a number of weeks before seeing the reports as to why the roof was damaged and the best course of action going forward.”
