Digital UK will be running two road show events in the borough to help residents prepare for the digital switch over in April.

On April 4 the digital switchover in Epsom and Ewell will begin and the analogue TV signal will be switched off meaning all homeowners will have to be set up a digital TV connection to continue watching television.

Both road shows will run from 9 to 5am and will be held outside Stoneleigh Library in Stoneleigh on Tuesday, February 7, and outside the clock tower in Epsom’s town centre on Tuesday, February 14.

Vivien Morgan, London manager of Digital UK said: “The whole of the London region, covering more than 12 million viewers, will have switched to digital in April 2012.

The local road shows are great for Londoners to meet the teams from Digital UK and the Switchover Help Scheme, find out what they might need to do and learn what assistance is available.”

Councillor Jan Mason, chairman of the leisure committee added: “The switchover will soon be upon us and these road shows are a great way of finding out more before the last analogue channels are permanently switched off.

We are urging our residents to get ready now and not to leave it until the last minute.”
