The 86-year-old woman was hit by a white Mercedes Sprinter van in Primrose Lane, Croydon, at about 3.40pm on Thursday, December 15.

Police have not released her name, and the date for a post mortem has not been fixed.
The 37-year-old male driver of the Mercedes was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and has been released on bail until late January.
