A woman in her 60’s has been taken to hospital after two vehicles collided on the M23 this morning.
The collision happened at about 9.15am between junctions eight and nine southbound, close to the junction with the M25, and involved a blue Peugeot 106 and a blue Peugeot 206.
The woman, who was driving the Peugeot 206, was taken to East Surrey Hospital by South East Coast Ambulance.
The driver of the Peugeot 106 was not injured during the incident.
There were no passengers in either car. The Surrey Fire and Rescue Service, South East Coast Ambulance Service, the South East Air Ambulance Service and the Highways Agency attended the scene.
The southbound carriageway was closed while debris from the incident was removed and vehicles were recovered, and was partially re-opened at 10.20am.
The northbound carriageway was closed for a short time while the air ambulance attended the scene.
