Polls have now closed for the Coombe Vale double byelection.
Nervous excitement is mounting as ballot boxes are arriving at Kingston’s Guildhall and counters are sorting the papers.
After a busy day campaigning the eleven candidates and their supporters are waiting nervously to find out the outcome.
Votes will be counted and a result is expected in the next few hours.
