A 22-year-old is to be extradited to Greece to face charges for an attack on a British holidaymaker.
On Thursday, December 8 Westminster Magistrates Court gave permission for Joseph Bruckland to be extradited to Greece accused of a brutal attack on Sutton United footballer Robbie Hughes while on holiday in Malia in June 2008.
Mr Bruckland, of Horley, Surrey had to provide a £50,000 surety to be given conditional bail.
He could be extradited by the Greek authorities any time from December 26.
He is to report to Reigate police station each day from that date as a condition of his bail.
His passport has been retained by police.
Mr Hughes needed four life-saving operations after he was left in a coma following the attack outside the Crete nightclub.
Five men already accused of the attack were extradited to Greece last year, but allowed back to the UK pending Mr Bruckland's extradition.
