Energy-saving devices are being fitted in homes under a new scheme funded by the Mayor of London.
The Re:new scheme, which is supported by Kingston Council, will help residents in Chessington North, Hook and Old Malden to cut their energy bills and to make average year-on-year savings of more than £200.
Experts from Climate Energy will be visiting homes between mid-November and February to give practical advice on how energy could be saved.
They will also check if homes would benefit from improved insulation, offer to fit free energy-saving devices and check whether residents are eligible for grants or discounts for replacement heating systems and solar panels.
Councillor Derek Osbourne, leader of Kingston Council and executive member with responsibility for environment and climate change said: “There are so many positive aspects to this scheme; saving money, reducing environmental impact, and helping everyone to keep warm this winter.”
The energy advisors will call at homes to make appointments and will always show a valid ID badge and ask permission before entering.
Residents can also book appointments at climateenergy.org.uk/renew or call 0800 6527207.
