A policeman was killed after his motorcycle was involved in an early morning crash with a mini cab.
Christopher Whelan, a 31-year-old father-of-two from Surrey, was off duty when his bike collided with a Nissan Almera on Sunday, November, 6 in Streatham High Road at 4.18am.
Mr Whelan, a police community support officer serving with the Metropolitan Police, died the same day in hospital.
Police are appealing for witnesses, especially a passenger who was in the mini cab at the time of the crash.
The driver of the Nissan Almera was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He has been bailed until next month.
