A 15-year-old girl has been charged with the murder of Julie Sheriff.
The girl was initially charged with grevious bodily harm.
But 16-year-old Miss Sheriff died on September 21 after four months in a coma and the youth has now been charged with murder.
Miss Sheriff was attacked in Battersea, South London, in early May.
She had travelled from her home in Hackney to visit friends on the night she was attacked.
The 15-year-old remains on remand in secure accommodation.
She will appear at Balham Youth Court on October 18, 2011.
