A father has opened up for the first time about how much he misses the “much-loved” little boy he lost to a tragic incident in a Tolworth playground.

Five-year-old Samuel Orola died after falling off a climbing frame at Tolworth Infant School last month.

His father, Sehinde Orola, said the days the pair spent together talking about life and laughing with each other was the most precious time in his life.

The heartbroken dad also talked of his son’s “heart-warming spirit” and how he had a way of bringing people together.

He said: “He was the sort of boy everyone would love to have as a son, only God knows how good my boy was for me.

“Every night I wake up and think about how much I loved him and how much I miss him.

“I learned so much from him and cannot face the fact I will never see my wonderful boy ever again.”

Samuel was very keen on sport and big fan of Arsenal FC.

His favourite player was Robin Van Persie, but his father says he wanted to be a doctor when he grew up.

He said: “We would have our talks about the man he would be and what job he would have.

“He loved football and athletics but he told me the thing he wanted to do most was to be a doctor and help people.

“That was the type of boy he was.”

The grieving parent said the family were grateful for the support from people in the community and beyond, many of whom attended the last Thursday’s funeral at Kingston Cemetery.

Mr Orola said the eulogy was given by Samuel’s uncle, who talked of his nephew’s love of his 21-month-old sister Esther and his kind nature, because Mr Orola was too “upset and emotional” to speak.

He said: “It was too much for me but his uncle did a very good job.

“There were so many people there it was impossible to count.

“So many people have offered their condolences including many people that we don’t even know.

“That is the positive affect he had on people.”

Tolworth Infant School plan to hold a memorial service for Samuel, although no date has been set.
