The sons of Lambeth’s deputy mayor have appeared in court charged with an attack on a man which left him hospitalised.
Scott Richards and Rion Peters, the sons of Councillor Judith Best, are alleged to have attacked Neil Potter, 41, of Fullsbrook Road, in Madeira Road in the early hours of July 29.
Following the alleged incident, Mr Potter required treatment for broken ribs and a broken jaw.
Mr Richards, 31, of Beadnell Road, and Mr Peters, 20, of Madeira Road, pleaded not guilty to two counts of wounding with intent and unlawful wounding at Inner London Crown Court on Tuesday, October 11.
They were remanded in custody pending a trial in January.
