The borough's back gardens are set to become more welcoming to wildlife after the award of a £45,000 grant.
Workshops are being set up to help Sutton residents create and maintain gardens rich with wildlife.
The money, from the Heritage Lottery Fund, will be used to provide training, advice and support to anyone who wants to get involved.
Staff at Sutton Ecology Centre will be working with Wallington Grammar School, who have started a new project to encourage wildlife in the school’s grounds.
