A new police car that will respond specifically to antisocial behaviour will soon be a fixture of the streets of Elmbridge.
The Elmbridge Community Safety Partnership made funding available for the car after agreeing with police the vehicle would be used by local policing teams to respond to residents’ complaints about antisocial behaviour.
David Hollingsworth, the Elmbridge Neighbourhood Inspector, said: “The addition of a dedicated marked police vehicle to help us deal with antisocial behaviour in the borough will be very welcome.
“We are serious about tackling all types of antisocial behaviour and being able to respond quickly using local officers will provide us with another very handy tool to do just that. This is a great example of local partners working together to provide effective resolutions to the issues that matter most to Elmbridge people”.
