Two people from Tooting have been charged with trafficking women into the UK for sexual exploitation.

Iveta Viragova, 43, of Gravenel Gardens, in Nutwell Street, and 25-year-old Votjech Virag, of the same address, are due to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court today.

Their arrests came after a woman told police she was raped at a house belonging to serial killers Fred and Rosemary West. It is thought the woman had been brought to the UK as part of a sex trafficking ring.

They were charged with two counts of conspiracy to traffic into the UK for sexual exploitation, conspiracy with others to traffic into the UK for exploitation, conspiracy to control prostitution for gain and conspiracy to facilitate commission of a breach of UK immigration law.

Meanwhile, Ludmila Nistorova, 52, of Raglan Court, Gloucester, was due to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court this afternoon charged with the same offences.

Three men arrested in the Czech Republic are currently subject to extradition proceedings.

It has been reported a police investigation started after one victim escaped from the gang and reported them to police.

The alleged rape victim said she was attacked in the house in Gloucester where the Wests' daughter Charmaine was murdered in 1971.
