Patients can give their views on major changes to a community hospital next week.
The Nelson Hospital in Merton Park is set to be renovated as part of Better Healthcare Closer to Home – and plans to offer healthcare in Merton and Sutton from four neighbourhood centres, including the Kingston Road building.
A spokesman for the Merton Park Ward Residents’ Association said the meeting would include updates on plans to renovate the site and new services that would be offered from it – as well as a question and answer session with project officers.
He said: “We are told that opinions expressed at the meeting will be carefully considered.”
The meeting will take place at the hospital from 4.30pm to 8pm on Wednesday. Refreshments will be available.
A planning application for the site is expected to be submitted in the next couple of months.
