Olympic Torch Tour to visit borough
Ahead of next year's London Olympics, Battersea Park is to play host to a 2012 Olympic Torch Tour.
An interactive roadshow will be arriving at the park on Sunday, July 24, offering visitors the chance to have their photo taken with the prototype London 2012 Olympic Torch.
They will also be able to learn about the history of the torch relay, play interactive games and nominate someone from the community to carry the Olympic Flame in next year's relay, which visits the borough on July 23, 2012.
The event, sponsored by Lloyds TSB, begins at 10am and runs until 4pm.
