The brother of a man accused of shooting a five-year-old girl has been shot by two gunmen in a ride-by incident.
Jaden McCalla, 20, was hit outside a pub in Kennington on Tuesday and remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
His brother, Anthony McCalla, 19, from Streatham, has been charged with shooting Thusha Kamaleswaran in a supermarket in March.
A police source said the two events were not linked, but investigations were continuing.
It is believed it is not the first time Jaden McCalla has been shot.
The Sun reported Jaden McCalla was shot three times in a lunchtime attack. As two attackers fled the scene by bike, pub customers rushed to stem Mr McCalla’s blood loss with tea towels.
Seven men were arrested by armed police following the incident.
Thusha, believed to be London's youngest ever victim of gun crime, was in her uncle’s convenience store when she and another man, Roshan Selvakumar, 32, were caught in crossfire when gunmen opened fire.
Thusha was left paralysed from the waist down following the incident.
Anthony McCalla, Nathaniel Grant, 20, from Camberwell and Kazeem Kolawole, 18, of Kennington, are charged with the attempted murder or Thusha and Mr Selvakumar.
