A large outdoor search tent returned to Kingston town centre as part of Operation Fallon – the largest ever policing operation in the borough.
The police operation on July 1 was the second one since April and designed to stamp out antisocial behaviour and crime.
Officers stopped and searched 92 for drugs, weapons and stolen property, leading to 13 arrests, 34 cannabis detections and two penalty notices for disorder.
As well as the mobile search unit in Memorial Gardens, more than 40 plain clothes officers were deployed in town, and a mobile custody unit was set up to process prisoners quickly.
The Met supplied 140 officers for the operation, including the Territorial Support Group, the dog unit, safer transport teams, CID, and borough officers.
Specials were also deployed.
Superintendent Paul McGregor said: "The operation sends a clear message. Come to Kingston, enjoy yourselves but if you want to commit crime you will be dealt with."
