Girlguiding Greater London West is pleased to welcome a new Chief Commissioner to the London and South East Region – Pip McKerrow, who takes over on 11 July.

Pip, 56, lives in Wandsworth in South London and is married with three children. She worked for many years as a primary school teacher and now volunteers for both Girlguiding UK and Victim Support. Pip, who was both a Brownie and a Guide, has started two Guide groups and a Rainbow group over the last 18 years. In that time she has also taken girls on adventures to Finland, India, Norway, Switzerland and Russia.

Girlguiding UK enables girls and young women to experience adventure, voice their opinions and develop confidence in a safe, girl-only environment.

I know Pip will inspire our dedicated volunteers here in the London and South East Region, as we continue to provide these valued opportunities to over 6000 girls and young women in Greater London West covering the boroughs of Kingston, Merton, Richmond and Sutton.
