Youngsters in Elmbridge had a fabulous time making their own bat-boxes to attract these creatures of the night into their gardens.
The children, aged seven to nine, used real woodworking tools as they learnt more about the mysterious creatures during the recent workshop at Arrow and Trefoil Hall, West End Lane, Esher.
The activity formed part of Elmbridge Council's summer SHOUT activities for youngsters throughout the borough.
