Australian international Mile Jedinak became Dougie Freedman's third Crystal Palace signing of the summer on Monday and promptly pledged to be a hit.

The 26-year-old midfielder has put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal, subject to a work permit, joining on a free transfer from Turkish club Gençlerbirliği where he has played for two years.

He joins Glenn Murray and Kagisho Dikgacoi as permanent signings for Freedman this summer but will not join up with them until Friday when the squad return from a five-day trip to Exeter this week.

"Playing in the UK has always been an ambition of mine and I am totally determined to make my time here an absolute success," said Jedinak, who has 25 caps for his country.

"I am impressed by Dougie Freedman and what he wants to achieve at the club and I cannot wait to get started.

"Crystal Palace has a fantastic heritage and a wonderful set of fans and I am looking forward to playing in front of them at Selhurst Park."

"I am absolutely delighted with this signing," said Freedman.

"Mile attracted attention from a number of clubs and I am so pleased he finally chose Crystal Palace.

"I have tracked Mile for some time since he was first brought to our attention by Tony Popovic and his contacts in Australia.

"Mile has a fantastic international pedigree and I know he will be a huge success at the club."

Palace are not playing any games in Exeter but begin their pre-season friendly programme at Basingstoke Town on Friday night.
