A team of cardiac nurses and support staff from St Helier Hospital are set to take on some of the Peak Districts highest points in a tutu-clad trek for charity.

The St Hel’s Belles, a team of cardiac nurses and support staff from the Trust’s cardiology unit, will descend on Chatsworth House in September to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

Organiser Debra Nalden said: “As we all work in cardiology, it will come as no surprise that the British Heart Foundation is a cause that we are really keen to support.

“We’re called ‘St Hel’s Belles’, and we represent all the staff who work in cardiology. Everybody in coronary care does a great job and puts in a lot of effort, and this is our way of showing our appreciation.

“We’ve got a target of £500 that we would love to beat and have set up a JustGiving website, so you can donate any time day or night. It’s all for a really good cause, so dig deep for the Belles.”
